Abstract:
|
This paper examines the differences in the developments and status quo of women’s movements in China and Taiwan. It is argued that contextual factors have contributed to the different trajectories of the two movements. A content analysis on selected discursive data demonstrates the significance of social, economic, and political elements in shaping women’s movements in these two countries which have seemingly identical cultural backgrounds. |
