Abstract:

General and special education student teachers self-rated their skills for teaching students with disabilities at the end of their student teaching experience. Some student teachers completed traditional student teaching experiences, while others completed an alternative student teaching experience (e.g., “on-the-job”). Ratings are analyzed for statistical patterns, and implications for teacher preparation programs are discussed.
