This paper explores the political backlash against coordinated state attorney litigation against tobacco companies and others. In 1999 the Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) was formed to help elect more pro-business Republican AGs. This paper exams the outcomes of state AG elections from 1995-2003 to determine whether RAGA's efforts were successful. |
