| Abstract:
| The current study attempted to extend gender research in journalism by looking at the difference in news reporting of women subjects in South Korea due to the gender of reporters. The findings reveal that in covering the women Cabinet members in South Korea, female reporters use a more positive tone, emphasize conflict news value less, use less stereotypical references to women and employ more gender sensitive perspectives than do male reporters. This study also found that organizational characteristics of newspapers might be related to their news content. The stories from the newspapers with a relatively high percentage of female members use a more positive tone about women Cabinet members than do those with a low percentage of female members. | Most Common Document Word Stems:
