| Abstract:
| This study proposes a further research direction of the source-reporter relationship by integrating conflict and conflict resolution models from the field of conflict studies to the contingency theory in public relations. The conflict and conflict management models can be introduced to public relations to identify the relationship between an organization and a public. The organization-public relationship can be closely associated with the nature of conflict and the strategies of conflict resolution. The ultimate purpose of this study is to provide a theoretical framework for addressing the continuum of the conflictual and strategic source-reporter relationships between public relations practitioners and journalists as one instantiation of organization-public relationships. The proposed continuum model of source-reporter power relationships presented below depicts the relational, organizational and societal level of conflict in the source-reporter relationship between public relations practitioners and journalists. | Most Common Document Word Stems:
