Abstract:
|
This analysis uses a sample from the 1988 to 2002 General Social Survey to investigate correlates of extramarital sex. A logistic regression model is performed in SPSS using variables to capture differences in religion, personal beliefs, region, and family context. Personal beliefs and family context factors are important predictors while the size of the respondent’s city is not. Results suggest that while religious affiliation is not a significant predictor of extramarital sex, increases in religious services attendance is associated with decreases in the likelihood of infidelity. |
