Publication Type: Conference Paper/Unpublished Manuscript Abstract: Environmental crime is increasingly a topic of great concern in a number of countries. The most important purpose of environmental crime prevention agencies is to enforce existing environmental laws and norms by progressively developing a diverse and broad public awareness. Furthermore, illegal behavior against the environment has been committed primarily by corporations or industrial businesses, but rarely by an individual person. In other words, a relationship between environmental crime and white collar crime is plausible. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the environmental victims’ response and the linkage between environmental crime and white collar crime using the theory of Rational Choice. |
