Publication Type: Poster Abstract: The media plays an important role in the shaping of perceptions around women and their role in society. Media plays a major role in transforming negative stereotypes around women, and perceptions around Gender based violence and it informs our understanding of issues in the society. In this study the authors examine the college students’ perception about violence against women issue from their assignments, which they prepare a term paper in “Violence toward Women” course with using ‘content analysis’ method.
