Abstract:

This paper will examine data collected from international educators in the greater Chicago area. Data has been gathered for both American students choosing to study abroad and international students studying in Chicago on F and J visas as either graduate or undergraduate students. The data will be examined for gender differences and comparisons will be made between the different types of institutions as well as with national norms. The impact of SEVIS and the Homeland Security Act on international enrollments in the Chicago area will also be discussed.
