I dealt only with U.N. peacekeeping missions in the post-Cold War era. Future
research would do well to include nation-states whose civil wars the United Nations
intervened in during the Cold War era. The extended cases will yield more reliable
results about the relationship between my independent and dependent variables.
Simultaneously, including as many nation-states as possible enables me to use
quantitative methods for data analysis. These methods will complement Qualitative
Comparative Analysis (QCA). In other words, quantitative analysis may help me
produce new results that I did not acquire using QCA.
