Abstract:

Finding one’s ‘authentic self’ as a supervisee opens up the way for professional attachment with one’s supervisor and a good, therapeutic relationship with one’s patient. The supervisor’s task is to provide a secure environment and facilitate the supervisee’s development as a psychodynamic psychotherapist. Bolby’s work is explored in this context
