Abstract:
|
This paper, part of a series on the Bologna Process of European higher education reform, examines the political impetus behind the reforms and the consequences of them for American higher education institutions (HEIs). Data collected in previous surveys of Big XII graduate schools will be used to support the hypothesis that, as it continues, European education reform will have political consequences for both European and American governments. |

While politics continues to play a role in its implementation the process itself appears to have achieved a momentum of its own that may in fact transcend politics.
