addition to the variables tested in model one. The third model tested includes individual level
variables regarding the adolescent’s lifestyle as well as those variables included in models one
and two. The fourth model tested controls for the adolescent’s body mass index at wave I while
including all variables tested in the other three models. I tested these models in this order
because I wanted to first focus on the parent-child relationship and then analyze the effects of
adding family and individual level variables on those parent-child relationship variables.
