Abstract:

The Boston Public Schools is engaged in a system-wide effort to strengthen mathematics teaching and learning. This short oral report uses the communities of practice framework to examine teacher collaboration and learning withing schools across the district. Preliminary findings suggest that communities of practice that include engagement, imagination, and alignment contribute to communities of practice that support teacher learning. |
