This presentation examines the implementation of action research to measure and improve the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through IC3 (Inter-cultural communicative competence) curricula.

Section I: Content A. Statement of the issue: Clearly state the issue that focuses your presentation provide relevant background and place the problem in a broader academic context. Educators are expected to implement best-practice curriculum and instruction that meets the needs of an increasingly diverse population. Often curriculum is designed and implemented without empirical evidence of the effectiveness of the curriculum. One such approach IC3 (Inter-cultural communicative competence) attempts to bring together what is known about best- practice instruction
learning. • Discuss and explore this work and its applicability to other contexts. B. Methods: Describe how you will design the session so that the learner/participant outcomes are achieved. Introductory comments (10 minutes). Presenter will give a brief overview of IC3 and the action research process as an approach to improve teaching. Review action research findings (10 minutes). Presenter will give a brief overview of the findings of the study as related to the achievement of students’ listening speaking
