Abstract:

This presentation will introduce instructional methods/strategies in teachign culture in Koean langauge classroom. Taking "intercultural communicative competence" (Bryam, 1997) as conceptual framework, instructional methods pertaining to specific cultural subjects - history, politics, & social issues - and the benfits of these methods in facilitating foreign langauge learning process will be discussed.
