Abstract:
|
Through the sociological concept of "identity work", the author explores the various ways that young men construct their masculinity through the telling of sexual stories. By examining both the context of the interview process and the substance of their sexual narratives, the author explores the various masculinities associated with the way these young men speak about sex. In exploring the identity work performed by these young men, the author examines how these men harmonize their self-concept with their performance of gender. |
