Abstract:
|
This study reports a first attempt at isolating the influence of a specific element of active listening responses, namely, the paraphrase. 180 undergraduate students participated in peer interviews in which they received either a paraphrased reflection or a minimum response to their opinions regarding comprehensive examinations. The results of data analysis indicated that males, but not females, responded more favorably to paraphrases than to minimum responses. |
