Abstract:

Abstract: An analysis of a four-week constructed sample of international news (N=1,024 stories) in The New York Times, USA Today, Houston Chronicle and Buffalo News indicates the volume of coverage has declined since the 1990s. Iraq received the most coverage, and the top topics were combat/political violence, government and diplomacy. The Middle East received the most coverage in all papers but The Times, which covered Asia more. Of the papers, USA Today had the least coverage. |
