Social disorganization has been used many times in analyzing crime tendency in many typical western countries greatly (eg: U.S, UK). However, little literature has focused on the social development in the orientated culture. Because China has a different history and cultural experiences, different ideology as well. Based on studying Violent crime rate in Shanghai City , I find Shanghai city is in the process of social disorganization now. In contrast to western countries, there are some features in Shanghai city 's social disorganization. The social structure and social culture both have been disorganized. The attenuationg of traditonal culture control ablility plays a key role in the process. |
