Abstract:

This presentation provides an overview of research and theory regarding disclosure of sexual assault and social reactions made to victims. Quantitative and qualitative findings are reviewed in the context of developing a theoretical model informed by feminist, ecological theory to suggest directions for future research and prevention of secondary victimization.
