Abstract:
|
Patients with diabetes who experience low health literacy often struggle in their roles as health consumers. This paper describes an interdisciplinary collaboration to create multi-media videos to help these patients. The goals of the project are to: (1) provide preliminary outcome data regarding the utility of the videos; (2) identify ways of improving the intervention; and (3) gain additional insight into the dynamics of physician-patient interactions in the context of chronic disease management, specifically diabetes. |
