Abstract:
|
This study examined the extent to which the quality of leader-member exchange (LMX) impacts employees’ responses to the dissatisfying situation of organizational injustice in the workplace. Findings suggested that, when faced with a dissatisfying situation, individuals in high-quality LMXs with their bosses are less likely to enact exit and neglect behaviors, but more likely to engage in loyalty behaviors than their peers in low-quality LMXs. Voice behaviors, the most preferred response, appear to have much more complex relationships with the LMX quality than other strategic communication responses. |
