Abstract:

Working with Social Contract Theory – Working theory:_x000d__x000d_Modern social contract theory, in my opinion, continues to offer political analysis, critique and practice interesting spaces from which to consider political location(s) and process(es). Working with Hobbes in the Leviathan, Locke in the Second Treatise and Rousseau in The Social Contract, I set out to make this case as well as to demonstrate the continuing radicality and relevance of this theory which while very interesting for me, seems often overlooked and underappreciated. |
