Publication Type: Conference Paper/Unpublished Manuscript Review Method: Peer Reviewed Abstract: This article has two main goals. The first is to expand the geographic range of the discussion on right-wing extremism, and to demonstrate that the corresponding ideology identified in Europe has recently spread to other regions ?in this case, Israel. From this conclusion, we turn to the second goal of the study: an attempt to propose a broad and comprehensive model to explain support for right-wing extremism, based on the combination of various theoretical explanations and using Structural Equation Models (SEM). In general, the research finding supported our hypothesis, which assumed that despite the continued relevance of socio-economic variables for explaining the support for right-wing extremism, these cannot completely explain the phenomenon. To this end, we added mediating variables derived from additional theories. Indeed, all the indicators we used pointed to the fact that the mediating model was significantly more impressive in its explanatory power.
