Additionally, this paper will attend to the embodied tradition of witnessing within the African American church and its influence on Hamer’s rhetorical style. The paper will begin with an account of the unique historical context surrounding the 1964 DNC. The paper will then discuss the theoretical literature and move to a rhetorical analysis of the text. |
